We’ve reached Sunday at the 2025 Texas Children’s Houston Open, where some of the PGA Tour’s best players are fighting for a large purse in the final round. Here’s everything you need to know about the Texas Children’s Houston Open payout, purse and winner’s share.
With 18 holes left to at Memorial Park Golf Course, Min Woo Lee holds a commanding four-shot lead over Alejandro Tosti. If Lee is able to hold on to the lead Sunday, he’ll claim his first PGA Tour victory. He’ll also earn a whole lot of money for his efforts.
The winner’s share for this year’s Houston Open is $1.71 million. That’s from a total purse of $9 million for the annual PGA Tour event.
While that’s big money for anyone, it pales in comparison to the purse at the 2025 Players Championship earlier this month. At the Players, Rory McIlroy captured the victory and a massive $4.5 million winner’s check. That amounts to half of the total payout at the Texas Children’s Houston Open.
At nine under, McIlroy might be too far behind to earn his third win of the season in Houston. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, however, is much closer, entering the final round at 12 under in a tie for third.
