Former ABC News anchors TJ Holmes and Amy Robach are launching a new podcast later this year.
“Amy & T.J.” is slated to premiere Dec. 5 on iHeartMedia, the company announced on Wednesday, noting the two will also collaborate on a full slate of upcoming programming for iHeartPodcasts in addition to hosting and producing their own weekly show.
Robach and Holmes were both previously anchors of ABC’s “GMA 3” afternoon show and were taken off the air by network President Kim Godwin after an off-air romantic relationship and the widespread attention it received sparked a flurry of headlines.
ABC announced in January the pair had agreed with the network to part ways after Godwin said the off-air romantic relationship between Holmes and Robach was not a “violation of company policy,” but had become “an internal and external distraction.”
“Now, the duo will get behind the microphone to explore meaningful conversations about current events, pop culture, and everything in between,” iHeartMedia said in announcing the deal. “Nothing is off limits.”
“‘Amy & T.J.’ is guaranteed to be informative, entertaining, and above all, authentic; it will mark the first time Robach and Holmes speak publicly since their own names became a part of the headlines.”
