Here are all the key updates from November 22, Wednesday:
ISSF World Cup Final update
Hriday Hazarika is out of the men’s 10m air rifle final early, finishing seventh in the eight-shooter final of the season-ending ISSF World Cup Final in Doha as India’s quest for a first medal here continues.
Elavenil Valarivan will be in action later in the women’s 10m air rifle final (3 PM IST.)
Badminton update from China Masters
Priyanshu Rajawat is out in the first round of the Super 750 event. The young Indian, ranked 30th in the world, lost to Japan’s world No 13 Kenta Nishimoto 17-21, 14-21.
Also, it appears that former world No 1 and India’s all-time No 1 men’s doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty are out of the season-ending BWF World Tour Finals, where the top 8 players of the year (in terms of points, therefore consistency) compete.
Rankireddy/Shetty are out.
Former world #1 from , Rankireddy/Shetty will miss the World Tour Finals. Liu/Ou’s win today makes them unable to enter the qualified zone. Good luck for the next year!#HSBCRaceToWorldTourFinals #BadmintonEropa pic.twitter.com/yr2qJJUQ4a

ISSF World Cup Final update
Hriday Hazarika and Elavenil Valarivan are through to the men’s and women’s 10m air rifle final, to be held later today at the season-ending ISSF World Cup Final in Doha, where the top 15 shooters participate.
Both of them finished 8th in the qualification, to make it to the 8-shooter final. Elavenil had 630.8 points and Hriday had 629.4 points.

India vs Qatar: takeaways
An Igor Stimac rant (again, and this is something else), a harsh lesson, and a set squad(?)… here’s what Sunaadh Sagar learned watching (and listening) in Bhubaneswar.
What’s happening?
-
A lot of badminton – the China Masters will see Lakshya Sen take on Shi Yu Qi, Priyanshu Rajawat take on Kento Nishimoto and Kidambi Srikanth face Kunlavut Vitidsarn in the men’s singles while Rutuparna and Swetaparna Panda will take on Xian Zhang and Yu Zheng in the women’s doubles.
-
A lot of shooting – the season ending ISSF World Cup final is on right now. In action today are Ramita, Elavenil Valarivan and Mehuli Ghosh in the women’s 10m air rifle as well as Rudrankksh Patil and Hriday Hazarika in the men’s 10m air rifle. The qualification rounds for these two events will start soon.
-
Also in store, from our end, Sunaadh Sagar’s analysis of India’s resounding defeat at the hands of Qatar and a rather bizarre post-match press conference from Igor Stimac, head coach of the Indian men’s national football team.
