All eyes are on Pinehurst No. 2 this week as the best players in the world have gathered in North Carolina for the 2024 U.S. Open, the third men’s major championship of the year. The storied Donald-Ross design last hosted the United States Golf Association’s flagship event 10 years ago in 2014, an event won by Martin Kaymer.
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler enters the week as the heavy betting favorite, and for good reason. The Texan has won five times this year on the PGA Tour — Arnold Palmer Invitational, Players Championship, Masters, RBC Heritage and Memorial Tournament — and has back-to-back top-three finishes at the U.S. Open.
Pinehurst No. 2 will play as a par-70 track measuring at 7,543 yards.
Now, let’s take a look at 10 of the best players at the U.S. Open over the last five seasons.
