What’s on today?

Other than the chess, there’s not a whole lot going on today as India’s athletes continue to fine-tune their preparations for the Paris Olympics. What happened yesterday?

  • Chess: The Indian duo of Gukesh and Vidit got off to a poor start at the SuperUnited Rapid & Blitz in Croatia as they were placed at the bottom of the table at the end of round 1.

  • Football: Mumbai City FC roped in Greek striker Nikolaos Karelis for the upcoming ISL season.

  • Athletics: The Mission Olympic Cell cleared multiple proposals of athletes bound for the Paris Olympics and Paralympics.
