Adam and Jessica Hadwin poked fun at Tiger Woods and Vanessa Trump on X.

It doesn’t seem like Adam Hadwin’s embarrassing sprinkler-head smashing incident has had a lasting effect on the Hadwin family. At least not enough to dissuade the PGA Tour pro’s wife from poking fun at Tiger Woods and his new girlfriend just a few days later.
For those who didn’t watch last week’s Valspar Championship, Hadwin got in some hot water (or more accurately, cold water) on Friday when he smashed a sprinkler head at the Coopperhead Course’s 10th hole after a bad chip.
The club thwack broke the sprinkler, sending high-powered streams of freezing water spraying all over the course and fans watching nearby.
After his minor humiliation, Hadwin ended up with a double bogey on the hole, finishing with a second-round 76 to miss the cut.
So he wasn’t working on Sunday when Woods made a post that caught the attention of the entire golf world, including Hadwin’s wife, Jessica.
Tiger Woods’ new girlfriend
Sunday evening, Tiger took to social media for a big announcement. He posted two photos of himself with Vanessa Trump, confirming rumors that the two were in a relationship. It is Tiger’s first publicly acknowledged relationship since his acrimonious breakup with ex-girlfriend Erica Herman in 2023.
“Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side! We look forward to our journey through life together. At this time we would appreciate privacy for all those close to our hearts,” Woods wrote in the post.
Though he didn’t mention her by name, Trump is publicly known herself. She was married to Donald Trump Jr., son of President Donald Trump, from 2005-2018, and the former couple have five children together, including Kai Trump, who is a burgeoning golf social media star.
One curious aspect of Tiger’s post announcing their new relationship was that despite its personal nature, Woods said he and Vanessa were requesting privacy.
And that got Jessica Hadwin thinking.
Hadwins take their shot
Coincidentally, the next day, Monday, was the Hadwin’s eighth wedding anniversary. And Jessica, who rarely passes up a chance at humor on social media, decided to have fun with the Woods and Trump with her own anniversary post.
So Jessica took to X and posted a photo of her and Adam standing on a beach, facing away from the camera with their arms around each other. But instead of crafting her own message, she just copied and pasted Tiger’s post word-for-word.
“Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side! We look forward to our journey through life together. At this time we would appreciate privacy for all those close to our hearts. #happyanni #8years,” Hadwin wrote.
Jessica’s husband, Adam, is coming off a solid season that saw him collect five top 10s to finish 47th in the FedEx Cup standings, earning him over $4 million and a spot in all the Signature Events in 2025. So far this year he’s had mixed results on the course. In nine starts, he has one top 10 and four missed cuts.
