How to watch Tour Championship on Friday
After the first 18 holes at East Lake, Min Woo Lee has the shortest path to the FedEx Cup title and its $10 million winner’s check.
The 28-year-old Australian pro, who captured his first PGA Tour victory last season, fired an eight-under 62 on Thursday to take an early two-shot lead at the Tour Championship.
But Lee has lots of fearsome foes hot on his trail. Both two-time major winner Collin Morikawa and 2023 FedEx Cup champion Viktor Hovland are tied at six under.
Scottie Scheffler, who claimed the top spot season-long FedEx race last week, shot a five under to get within three shots of Lee with 54 holes left to play.
Rory McIlroy shot a 68 on Day 1 and will start Round 2 six shots off the lead.
