8:53pm A thoroughly absorbing day of Test cricket. Australia did most of the early running, eventually skittling India out for 198. That, though, meant they had to endure a tricky session of batting under lights. Litchfield and Voll fell cheaply, with Healy not going past 13 in what could be her second-last innings in international cricket, either. Perry and Sutherland, though, have looked increasingly comfortable, with the latter barely putting a foot wrong since arriving on the scene.
India went all-pace in the evening session until the dying embers, and were rewarded initially too, with Satghare bagging two, and Gaud getting rid of Litchfield. That said, they will be a touch disappointed to have not made further inroads. They will now need to be at their best tomorrow, and will want to ensure they roll Australia over for 198. Or for something that denies them a huge first-innings lead.
We hope you enjoyed our coverage for today. We will be back at it nice and early tomorrow. Until then, from Gnasher, Harshith, Vairavan and myself (Shashwat), it is goodbye!
Rana to Sutherland, no run, flighted up on a length on off. Sutherland gets close enough to the pitch of the ball and blocks. That will also be stumps on day one!
