The purse for the 2026 PGA Championship has increased to a record $20.5 million for this year’s tournament at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, Pa.

The PGA of America announced the purse increase and payout breakdown on Saturday. The $20.5 million prize fund is up from last year’s total of $19 million.

Sunday’s champion will also get a boost — a winner’s check of $3.69 million. The top-three finishers in the second men’s major of the season all receive seven-figure payouts, as the runner-up gets $2.214 million and third place $1.394 million. Payouts of $984,000 (for 4th) and $820,000 (for 5th) round out the top five. (Rory McIlroy claimed $4.5 million of the $22.5 million purse at the Masters last month.)

Players who missed the PGA cut received $4,300 each.

The final round at Aronimink is bound to be an entertaining one. Alex Smalley starts the day with a two-shot lead over the field at six under, but dozens of players are within a few shots of the lead, including stars such as Jon Rahm, Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler.

You can watch the final round of the 2026 PGA Championship from 1-7 p.m. ET on Sunday on CBS. Below is the complete payout breakdown for the 82 players who made the cut.
