Washington’s First IndyCar Race Draws Crowds and Closes Roads

While Washington’s first IndyCar race drew crowds this weekend, it also hampered other activities in and around the capital.

After two hours of walking this morning, also most of the roads and entrances to the museums are blocked off. So it’s been kind of a damper for that. The sights, the sounds, the smells, it’s all going to be just wonderful. I think that this really is probably a once-in-a-lifetime event, because they are shutting down all the roads around the capital, and it’s not your typical race course.

While Washington’s first IndyCar race drew crowds this weekend, it also hampered other activities in and around the capital.
